Kim Petras has long turned her beauty routine into a ritual. “I always make sure I get up, you know, early enough that I have enough time to massage my skin, put on a little candle, make it smell nice, maybe put on a playlist, and just do skin care,” she says. The pop singer starts with Farmacy’s cleansing balm—a nourishing solve for her dry skin. “I am a huge sunscreen wearer,” she notes before applying Supergoop!’s stick formula. “I’m really glad that my mom taught me that and got that into me because I used to get sunburnt all the time as a kid.” She applies eye cream and moisturizer before using Madonna’s recommended face roller to massage her cheeks.
“Most of my products now are things that I’ve used for years or if something really blows my mind,” she notes, blending Dior’s glowy foundation in with a Beautyblender. For example, she’s been using NARS’s creamy concealer for ten years. Still giddy from her Pride performance with Christina Aguilera, the pop star is keen to learn what she can from her industry idols like Madonna, Charlie XCX, and Paris Hilton. “I love being inspired by people and their brains more than I am inspired by just beauty," she says.
After contouring and applying a light layer of setting powder, she moves onto eyes, which are completed by a couple classics: Urban Decay’s glittering eyeshadow in shade Space Cowboy and faux lashes. Pro Petras tip: heat your lash curler to keep your lashes lifted.
Back to her complexion, Petras applies bronzer, Dior’s rosy pink blush, and highlighter. Brows are groomed into place with a pencil, and lips are finalized with a coat of Fenty Beauty gloss. “I think the best beauty advice in general is to just highlight the things that you like about yourself—don’t worry too much about the parts you’re insecure about," she says. With a generous mist of setting spray, her everyday glam is complete, and off to the studio she goes.
