Taking a cue from one of those "living statue" dudes who pose for tips at tourist spots, singer Doja Cat rolled up to Paris Fashion Week in what can only be described as goldface. So that's interesting.
She showed off her metallic pallor, which reached below her collarbone, and close-cropped hair at the A.W.A.K.E Mode spring-summer 2023 show, adding gold earrings and gold nails to complete the look. It's definitely dramatic, and photographs beautifully, but it's not the moment that impresses us most. No, the most daring look was the one she wore to the Jacquemus store:
How on Earth is that white shirt clean? Either she put it on after getting her face painted and managed not to smear anything, or she put the shirt on and then got her face painted and managed not to get any on the shirt! I can't even put on a turtleneck without completely effing up my hair, so this is what I call elite. (For some perspective, things got messy when I tried to use a gold face mask six years ago, and I haven't attempted it since.)
Ms. Cat has favored bold makeup looks lately. At an earlier PFW event, she had her face painted white with blue contouring plus a bright red lip.
A few weeks before, in New York City, she stepped out with her entire skull painted with a white design.
She even tried to make Oompa Loompa–core a thing with this orange lewk:
Obligatory reference to the most famous gold-painted woman here! And no, you can't actually die from too much body paint… we're pretty sure.
